A Big Brother Nigeria winner, Efe has come under fire on social media for a tweet he posted when he waded into the trending topic about Yahoo boys and the EFCC.

The rapper tweeted: “Yahoo boys bring money into the economy, Politicians steal money and take it out of our economy. Nigerians please who is justified?”

Nigerians were certainly not impressed with this tweet and they made this clear in the responses.

Fa’ad Abubakar‏ said: “This is what happens when stupid shows make intellectually handicap people make money easily. They suddenly think that the money comes with sense.”

Another twitter personality Tega said: I just pity the people who wasted their hard earned cash to win you 25mil so you can glorify fraudsters on here. 

Seyi said; Neither. Theft is theft. Imagine waking up and not finding your winnings in your account and being told that it has been used to enrich the economy of another poorer country.

Fidel Peter said; “Yahoo boys bring money into the economy” Is this the economics you read in the school? I am highly disappointed by your inability to call a spade a spade, yahoo (internet fraud) is unarmed robbery and such acts should be condemned.

Another called Geeman tweeted: “You have to delete this post. This is very unreasonable from someone looked upon by a number of young ones out there. You don’t celebrate criminality, you condemn it. Disgusted already.”

This all stemmed from comments made by Noble Igwe who in reaction to the arrest of 12 yahoo boys by the EFCC had listed certain businesses that are being used as fronts for money laundering. While come Nigerians have applauded the move, others have gone on to call the fashionista a snitch.

An exclusive and investigative new report has debunked claims by Nigerian music star, Davido, that he bought a new private jet, making him one of the youngest owners of a private jet in the music industry.

TORI News had earlier reported that the singer, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, broke the internet after he revealed through his social media accounts that he has acquired a multi-billion naira private jet.

According to a new exclusive report, the billionaire's son actually lied about acquiring the jet all by himself, rather it was actually a “fractional ownership” in which his financial commitment in the arrangement is meagre while the major financiers have chosen to play down their involvement to give Davido conceded prominence.

According to our source, conceding prominence to Davido in the private jet ownership is part of a business deal to make Davido very bankable in the showbiz industry

This arrangement is to present Davido as a viable brand with a view to cornering lucrative deals from multinational businesses, countries and other foreign entities.

The guys at the vanguard of the jet ownership narrative are said to have agreed on a sharing formula with Davido when the deals start coming in. The jet upon delivery would be deployed to Davido’s peripatetic needs and those of others in need of it.

Of a fact, buying a private jet is a herculean task. Jet prices range from $3 million to $90 million. It has been found out that about 85 per cent owners buy second-hand aircraft; and depending on the size of the aircraft, it can cost between $700,000 and $4 million per year to run your own aircraft.

For most multi-millionaires tired of travelling first class, but are not ready to fork out a chunk of money for a jet that will run up bills for years, the alternative for them is membership scheme for private jets at the approximate cost of a first-class airfare.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the refusal by President Muhammadu Buhari to address the devastating strike action by health workers across the country, is a clear manifestation of his insensitivity to the plight and suffering of Nigerians. 

We lament the anguish of hundreds of Nigerians who are abandoned and dying by the day in our public hospitals, just because President Buhari and his dysfunctional All Progressives Congress (APC) attach no importance to issues that concern the average Nigerian.

Is it not the height of insensitivity that while Nigerians in dire need of medical attention are languishing, President Buhari abandoned them without any form of intervention and embarked on medical tourism in London with our common patrimony?

As if that was not enough, upon his return to Nigeria, instead of summoning an emergency meeting of critical stakeholders to find solution to the problem, Mr. President abandoned the striking health workers and chose to organize and attend a political rally in Jigawa state for a doomed 2019 re-election bid.

Such aloofness by the government is directly responsible for the escalation of killings and bloodletting in Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Plateau, Kogi, Zamfara, Borno, Yobe, Kaduna states and others parts of the country, where marauders and insurgents are pillaging our citizens as if overlooking the plight of Nigerians has become a state policy.

In the PDP, the health, security and welfare of Nigerians remain pivotal to us and that is why we feel pained that compatriots are dying in their numbers because of the refusal of the Buhari-led APC administration to address the health workers’ strike.

The PDP, therefore, stands with Nigerians at this critical time. We identify with the sick and those who have lost their loved ones under this present circumstance and urge all public-spirited individuals, humanitarian organizations and the international community to come to the aid of our nation, since it has become clear that the Buhari administration has no agenda for the health sector.

Furthermore, while we plead with the health workers to be open to ways to solve the problem, we charge Nigerians to support one another and adhere to all health etiquettes to forestall an outbreak of epidemic and health crisis.

Finally, the world have now seen why Nigerians have reached a consensus not to allow this insensitive and anti-people APC administration to continue beyond 2019.
