Son of Angola's ex-President named as suspect in $500m fraud case and barred from leaving the country

José Filomeno dos Santos, the son of Angola's ex-President has been formally accused of fraud over the alleged illegal transfer of $500m (£350m) from the central bank to the UK. He is also barred from leaving the country, deputy Attorney General Luis Benza Zanga said.

Dos Santos is the highest profile person targeted in new President João Lourenço's anti-corruption drive. He had led oil-rich Angola's sovereign wealth fund during his father's rule. However, he was removed from this role in January, months after a BBC investigation into Angola's $5bn fund and following an internal governance review.

The allegations against him relate to the $500m transferred to a British bank, which was then frozen by authorities in the UK. The UK say the money can now be returned.  Mr dos Santos was formally named a suspect in the investigation, along with the former governor of Angola's central bank, Valter Filipe da Silva.

Mr Zanga said there was no chance of the case falling under any sort of amnesty currently being offered by the government.  "A pardon will not work... this case will run to its final outcome," he said.

meet the 25-year-old lady who spent ₦180M on surgery to look like Kim Kardashian, poses naked to show off the results of her transformation (Photos)

25-year-old Jennifer Pamplona, from Sao Paolo, Brazil, who spent a whopping sum of $500,000k ( ?180M) on surgery to look like her idol Kim Kardashian, has shown the result of her transformation.

The young entrepreneur reportedly had four ribs removed and four pints of fat injected into her buttocks.

According to DailyMail, she recently went under the knife again for her second nose job, to remove cheek fillers and had a facelift to closely resemble the Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star.

The procedures were done by Dr. Bulent Cihantimur, in Turkey.

Celebrating her transformation, the Sao Paolo-born posed naked and showcased her curvaceous new figure covered in body paint for a shoot inspired by Kim Kardashian

Speaking about her transformation, she told Daily Mail, 'After all my surgery and procedures I'm pretty happy, sometimes I think all the money I spent could be in my bank account but at the same time I'm so happy.

'I have spent a lot of money, but I feel very confident with myself and have the power to make more money because of my looks.

'When you're not happy with yourself, feeling upset and not great, you're not going to succeed, now I love myself and I feel happy looking in the mirror.

'If I had to, I definitely would do it all again, all of the surgeries and procedures, but for now I know it's time to focus more on my career, life and business.

'I chose this photoshoot style, because it's similar to some of Kim Kardashian-West's most famous photographs.

'I love when Kim Kardashian does these photoshoots, for me she looks beautiful and I feel like I look great too.

'I gain more confidence every time I do a photoshoot without clothes on, I feel comfortable posing naked with body paint now and could be doing this for a long time.

'When I saw these photographs, I thought it was the most beautiful one I have ever done, I have a more mature look now.

'I think I will still feel confident doing naked shoots into my old age, I did all of my surgeries to remain beautiful - whether I'm 30, 60, 70 I'll still be beautiful, with age comes beauty too.'

Jennifer, who rose to fame after undergoing nine surgeries in the 24-hours, after the death of her boyfriend Celso Santebanes, also revealed she still plans to have an even bigger butt.

Jennifer said: 'I wanted to have more done to my butt, when I travelled to turkey, I wished I could do it then, but my doctor has refused.

'He said he would not do it currently, but maybe in the future we can, I never say never, especially when talking about surgery.

'My doctor thinks I am addicted, so he put a stop on me if he didn't I would have kept on doing it, he didn't reject me because it's dangerous, he's just very responsible.'

On having  her nose reshaped like that of Kardashian, she said:

'I wanted my face to look more similar to Kim Kardashian, when I woke up it was the most beautiful nose I could have seen, it looks very natural and not like I've had surgery at all.

'He broke my nose and cut it to make it smaller, then worked to remove the fillers and reconstruct my face.

'He took out my cheek fillers and gave me a facelift to stop them from sagging with the weight.

'I see my body more like a woman's and not a girl anymore, I'm growing up and finding fewer insecurities with myself.'

Edo State Govt hands over 70-years-old man, his two sons, 26 and 29 to police for defiling 9-year-old girl

The Edo State government has handed over 70 years old Francis Ezomo, and his two sons; Nosa Ezomo, 26 years old and Festus Ezomo, 29 years old, to the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Johnson Kokumo, for allegedly defiling a nine-year-old girl, who is a relative of Mr Francis Ezomo’s wife.

The Acting Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Basic Education, Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe, told journalists after the suspects were handed over to the Police at Government House, Benin City, that the case was reported to her office by the headmistress of the minor.

“The issue came to the limelight when the headmistress of the minor's school noticed a change of behaviour in the minor and decided to ask her what the problem was. The nine years old girl narrated her ordeal to the headmistress who then informed the Education Secretary of the local government council where the alleged crime took place. We then swung into action and got the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development involved,” Dr. Oviawe said.

The SUBEB boss added that when “we could not get the necessary action required from the Police, the state government swung into action and these three men were apprehended almost immediately.”

She explained that the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has taken custody of the child who is now in a safe place and assured that SUBEB would ensure that her education is not truncated.

"What the men have done is bad and their actions have attempted to destroy the life and future of the minor. The three men took advantage of the child and exposed her to trauma. We have waded into the case to ensure justice prevails,” Oviawe said.

The commissioner of police assured that his men would investigate the allegation and charge the case to court.

“Scientific investigation for the minor was sent to the hospital and a doctor report has shown that her hymen has been broken. The scientific report has established that the minor was sexually abused. We will investigate the case and charge them to court,” Kokumo said, and urged parents not to leave the duty of nurturing their children to teachers in schools.

“Nurturing a child is not just the responsibility of the school, both parents and guardians have a lot of roles to play in the proper training up of our children,” the police boss said.

Flavour, Semah Weifur give it all to God on "Divine" EP

Traditional praise grooves switch to solemn worship instrumentation with silky transitions in between.

EP - "Divine"
Artist - Semah, Flavour
Record Label - 2nite Music (2018)
Duration - 29 minutes
Charity is rare in the music industry. Stories of the art departing from the pursuit of money and influence, to actually changing lives via human kindness are rare. The music industry is a cut-throat game, a theatre of ruthless capitalism with very few engaging in any venture which doesn’t improve the bottom-line.

That’s why Flavour’s work with Semah G. Weifur is special. The novelty of charity is very much alive in Nigeria. In 2015, during a peace mission in Liberia, he met a young blind fan who knew his music deeply, had a special voice, and could sing like an angel. Immediately, he swung into action, making the boy’s dream of being an artist come through.

Semah was featured on ‘Most High’, a record off his critically acclaimed “Ijele (The Traveler)” album. That song had a video, and even at that, it is considered enough.

But the story doesn’t end at that. Flavour and Semah continued to explore that relationship, exploring past the ‘single’ phase. It’s become an EP, a 7-track faith-based inspirational project titled “Divine.” For much of Nigeria, charity comes from a godly place, and this EP is a tribute to that.

Via 7 tracks of pure praise, reflections and uplifting music, Semah and Flavour exude chemistry; the master and the prodigy taking up an idea and whipping it through melodies littered with truth and praise.

“Thank God say man no be God…I come from West Africa, Liberia…I’m blind today, I can see tomorrow. I’m poor today, I’ll be rich tomorrow,” he sings, living his truth via thanksgiving.

Traditional praise grooves switch to solemn worship instrumentation with silky transitions in between. A standout here is the Latino production on ‘Turn by turn’, a conscious single about living life with hope and diligence. It’s a good project, one to edify, entertain, and rejuvenate your spirit, and lead you to God.

Seun Kuti isn't done protesting on "Black Times" LP

“Black Times” is both a delight and a reminder that Africa can be better.

LP - "Black Times"
Artist - Seun Kuti
Record Label - Strut (2018)
Duration - 41 minutes
Seun Kuti is a firebrand campaigner. His soul is empathetic, his music deeply protestant, and his drive, tenacious.

He learned from the best. The 35-year-old singer, bandleader and saxophonist, is one of the sons of legendary Nigerian Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. When Fela passed away in 1997, Seun – only 14 years old at the time – became the lead singer of his father's band, Egypt 80. Now Seun leads that band, and – along with his older brother Femi – he's continued the music and protest culture, where his father left off via death.

Black Times is further proof that Fela’s message runs deep, and as things continue to change in Nigeria and Africa, everything stays the same. There’s still a need for heroes and an external conscience. The struggle of Africans in Africa has only exacerbated, with poverty, bad governance, capitalism and corruption still contributing to stifle growth.

Via syncopated percussion, blaring multi-layered horns, and the pounding congas, opener ‘Last Revolutionary’ brings to mind the few authentic leaders who have been bright spots in the continent’s history. Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Abder Nasser, Marcus Garvey, Shaka Zulu and Fela Kuti are all inspirational heroes in the struggle.

Carlos Santana and his legendary guitars grittily lend considerable dynamism on the title track, which is extended to nine minutes, of great grooves, and expert solo takes. ‘Theory of Goats and Yams’ is inspired by the ex-Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan who attempted to justify corruption by the likening it to animals unable to help themselves in the presence of food. ‘Struggle sounds’ defines his drive for the people, a sonic manifesto of his abilities and the soul of why he makes protest music. “Corporate Public Control Department (CPCD)” addresses selfish politicians with no iota of service in their roles.

“Promise to give me peace and you give me war,” Seun fires. “You promise me justice and then you jail the poor/You promise jobs and you close the factory/But there’s always work in the penitentiary.”

For the music, Seun Kuti is changing things and improving on arrangements. His guests are used with potent effect, and there is experimentation woven into the making of many records, with the call-and-response applied in more ways than before. It’s a chip off the old block in the thematic communication, but the music is expanding the skill is updated. “Black Times” is both a delight and a reminder that Africa can be better.

Nigerian singers accused of stealing King Sunny Ade's lyrics

Davido and Small Doctor have been accused of copyright infringements by King Sunny Ade’s manager, Clement Ige.
According to the talent manager, the duo were accused of using lyrics from veteran Juju musician’s songs without seeking for the permission to do so.

Ige expressed his displeasure towards the singers, saying that they use lyrics from KSA’s discography in their hit songs and do not give appropriate credit to the original owner of the lyrics.

“They use English language to speak Yoruba. Like the young man who sang ‘makole marale.’ How do you build house before buying a land?” he asked. “Many of them don’t give credit to the original composer of the song they adopt. They just sing it without seeking permission. That’s a copyright infringement. It’s not done in developed societies.”

Speaking at Goldberg’s Ariya Repete Roundtable discourse in Abeokuta, the manager revealed that young generation singers are making the wrong moves in their composition of music.

According to him, their songs contain lyrics which are filled with jargon that make no literal sense.

“Till today, Small Doctor didn’t get our permission before and after singing ‘ijó tí m’ojó l’àná, tí wọn n’pariwo, oni nkọ, ola nkọ.’ And many of them are guilty of this,” Ige said, referencing a popular line in Small Doctor’s 2017 hit record ‘Penalty’.

He continued: “The Davido that used Sunny’s lyrics in his song didn’t even get it right and that’s because he didn’t ask for permission. If he did, we would have corrected him. What is ‘Kuluso ewe, agbagba ewe…?’ The line is actually ‘Seleru agbo, agbara agbo’. I know because I co-wrote the song!,” he said, referencing Davido’s breakthrough single ‘Dami duro’.

Neither Davido nor Small Doctor have responded to the claim.

FG targets critical infrastructure to boost socio-economic development

The Minister of Power Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, said this during the inspection of phase one project of National Housing Programme (NHP) of 72 flats in Gwagwalada Area Council on Thursday.

The Federal Government says it is focusing on critical infrastructure and housing mandate that will enhance the socio-economic development of the country.
The Minister of Power Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, said this during the inspection of phase one project of National Housing Programme (NHP) of 72 flats in Gwagwalada Area Council on Thursday.

Fashola noted that the Federal Government was committed to addressing the housing needs of Nigerians through the National Housing Programme.

The minister expressed satisfaction at the pace and quality of work at the construction site, while urging the contractors to sustain the tempo and be consistent in the use of the best quality materials.

According to him, the administrations infrastructural commitment is actually getting to the real and ordinary people who may actually not see the president.

“The essence of National Housing Programme is to add value to the wellbeing of Nigerians by creating employment.

“It is also aimed to encourage standardisation of building materials which will boost local content and stabilise the economy,’’ he said.

Fashola expressed delight that Nigeria, under the leadership of President Buhari, had played a critical and positive role in developing a common African position that had helped to shape the economy.

The project team leader, Mr Fashoranti Toyin, however, appealed to the minister to kindly use his good offices and request the Minister of FCT to allocate land closer to the city for phase 2 of the project.

She said the location of site was long way from the city, which was a challenge for the smooth execution of the project like transportation of materials from Mabushi to Gwagwalada.

The project team leader said that the 72 flats housing projects comprised of three condominiums of three floors each, roads, electricity and motorised boreholes, which were at various stages of completion.

Police: Austin bomber left 25-minute confession video on phone

As the Austin bomber sensed that authorities were closing in on him on Tuesday night, he took out his cell phone and recorded a 25-minute video confessing to building the explosive devices -- but didn't explain why he targeted his victims, interim Austin police Chief Brian Manley said.

"It is the outcry of a very challenged young man talking about challenges in his life that led him to this point," the interim chief said. "I know everybody is interested in a motive and understanding why. And we're never going to be able to put a (rationale) behind these acts," Manley told reporters Wednesday night.
The video made by Mark Anthony Conditt, whose string of package bombs killed two people and wounded five in Texas, was found on his cell phone when police recovered his body Wednesday morning. The cell phone was in Conditt's possession at the time of his death, police said.
Manley says that Conditt did not make any terror- or hate-related references in the confession.

Hours after he made the video, police found Conditt leaving a hotel. They followed him until they made a move to stop him from getting on an interstate and Conditt ended up in a ditch.
Authorities say Conditt, 23, killed himself with his last explosive device.
Federal agents went to the bomber's home Wednesday while police interviewed his roommates, attempting to determine whether any bombs remained and if Conditt acted alone.

• Authorities think they have accounted for every bomb Conditt made, Manley said.
• The interim chief said the bomber indicated in his video that he would have continued his attacks if police hadn't been getting close to finding him.
• Conditt, 23, lived in Pflugerville, a city just outside Austin, officials said.
• Officers detained and questioned Conditt's two roommates Wednesday. Neither person was under arrest, Austin police said.
• An arrest warrant for Conditt and a criminal complaint charging him with one count of unlawful possession and transfer of a destructive device were filed Tuesday night, authorities said. An affidavit detailing the reasons for the warrant and charge is under seal, they said.
• An aunt of Conditt's said her family is "devastated and broken at the news that our family could be involved in such an awful way."
• Austin police on Wednesday morning conducted a "follow-up investigation" at the FedEx facility where an intact bomb was found a day earlier, the agency tweeted. The building was temporarily evacuated, but police said normal business "will resume."
• Conditt was an Austin Community College student from 2010 to 2012 but did not graduate, the school said.

No more bombs found
Fred Milanowski, the special agent in charge for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Houston office, said one room in the house in Pflugerville where Conditt lived had components for making similar bombs to the ones that exploded in a string of incidents this month. There was also similar homemade explosive material in the room.
No finished bombs were found, he said.
In response to a question from CNN on how the bomber could have kept his activities from his roommates, Milanowksi said there was a room with a lock on it, but he didn't specify whether it was the same room where the bombmaking material were found.
Neighbor Mark Roessler said agents were there Wednesday morning and stopped him when he walked down his driveway to see what was going on.
Roessler said he very seldom saw Conditt and usually only in passing.
"He was a quiet, very polite, respectful young man," he said. "Conversations that I had with him and with the family were all nothing that would ever lead you to believe that anything like this could ever be possible."

Conditt blew himself up as police approached, police say

An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday night for Conditt's arrest.

Authorities tracked him to a hotel in Round Rock, about 20 miles north of Austin, after reportedly identifying him using receipts, internet searches, witness sketches and, ultimately, surveillance video that revealed he'd delivered packages days earlier to an area FedEx store, officials said.
Authorities were outside the hotel early Wednesday when Conditt got in his vehicle and drove away. They followed him until he was forced into a ditch on the side of Interstate 35 in Round Rock, north of Austin, and detonated a bomb, police said. The blast injured a SWAT officer.
Another SWAT officer fired a gun at Conditt, Manley said; it wasn't immediately clear whether Conditt was shot.
Manley later said that Conditt's wounds from the explosion were significant.

Burglar, 26, who raped and murdered "fragile" pensioner, 72, in her own home, jailed for life

A 26-year-old drug user who raped and murdered a pensioner after breaking into her home and smothering her, has been jailed for life.

Craig Keogh brutally raped 72-year-old Jane Hings at her bungalow in Fleckney, near Leicester, in the early hours of September 24, 2017. When he was done, he suffocated her using a pillow before removing her wedding and engagement rings and a crucifix from her body.

Keogh, who knew Mrs Hings after previously offering to walk her dog, claimed in police interviews that he had consensual sex with the pensioner and it wasn't rape. He also claimed she was still alive when he left her.

Jurors at Birmingham Crown Court took around four hours to unanimously convict him of murder, burglary and two counts of rape. On Tuesday he was jailed for life with a minimum term of 32 years.

Passing sentence at Birmingham Crown Court, Mr Justice Jeremy Baker told Keogh he had shown no remorse and acted in a "callous" way after the killing.

The judge told the 26-year-old former factory worker, who was described as "bubbly" in the days after the killing: "The reason why you decided to kill Jane Hings was to prevent her from being able to identify you as the person responsible for having burgled her home and raped her. Bearing in mind what you had done, your conduct the next day (in selling the victim’s jewellery and buying drinks for friends) was callous in the extreme."

Jurors heard that Keogh appeared to be "off his face" on cocaine in the hours before the murder, and was seen to kick a wing mirror off a car.

Improve your strategy and wipe out criminality - President Buhari directs security agencies

President Buhari today in Gusau, Zamfara State, directed security agencies to improve their strategies of intelligence gathering, surveillance and accuracy in deployments, and ensure that criminal activities are brought to an end across the country.

Accompanied by Governor Abdul’aziz Yari, in an interactive meeting with political leaders, traditional rulers, elders and victims of criminal attacks in Zamfara State, President Buhari assured all security agencies of improved conditions that will facilitate apprehending criminals that steal, maim and kill innocent Nigerians.

“As far as I am concerned, our security agencies have recorded some successes, but they need to do much more. They are not to oppress anyone, but they have to gather and send intelligence and warnings when something is about to happen,’’ he said.

The President commended the security agencies for eliminating a dreadful criminal, “Buhari general’', who had for many years initiated killings and destruction of properties. Before "Buharin-daji", who calls himself a general, there was a criminal who killed many people and he was killed; “Buharin–daji’’ has followed him and others like them should also follow,’’ he added.

President Buhari said the threats to lives and properties will be significantly reduced with improved relations among community leaders, citizens and the security agencies.

"I have come here to commiserate with you over loss of lives and properties. We will continue to do our best to improve the security situation. However, those committing atrocities live with you. Some of these people are not reported because you don’t trust the security outfits, instead you report back to the criminals. We should give priority to security’’ he said.

The President warned that the ongoing war against corruption will be reinvigorated and sustained until public officers, who abused their positions, faced the wrath of the law. President Buhari told the elders and traditional rulers that properties that had been confiscated by security outfits from some suspected corrupt public officials will be sold out, after the completion of court procedures.

He urged Nigerians to take advantage of the ongoing reforms in the agricultural sector, pointing that the era of depending on petrol will one day come to an end. On herdsmen attacks, the President said there was a need to revisit and review the old grazing area arrangements that guaranteed harmonious relationship between farmers and herdsmen, where differences were amicably resolved through the law without violence.

In his remarks, Governor Yari, who is also the Chairman of Nigerian Governors’ Forum, said the state government had deployed resources that were initially designated for development into fighting criminal activities.

The governor, who commended the security outfits for working hard to protect the state, pleaded with the Federal Government to improve the funding of operations, increase the number of security men working in the state and reimburse the state for monies spent on some Federal Government projects like roads, which he said was a major priority in fighting criminals. In his presentation, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi, said the state faced three major criminal challenges of cattle rustling, armed banditry and abductions and demand for ransoms.

Listing out eight major flashpoints, the Secretary to the Government said 1,321 lives had been lost since 2011, while 1,881 people sustained various injuries from attacks, with about N14 billion spent on fighting the menace. The traditional rulers, elders and leaders of the affected communities also pleaded with the government to ensure immediate security intervention in order to save lives.

"I'm a murderer" - Florida woman says after killing her mother and ripping her eyes out

A Florida woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her mother and ripping out her eyes in a drug-fueled attack.

Camille Balla, 32, was arrested on Friday on a first-degree murder charged in the death of her mother, Francisca Monterio-Balla, NBC Miami reports.

When officials arrived at the Royal Palm Beach home both women shared, they found the young Balla sitting on the sidewalk, covered in blood and she told them: "I killed my mother and I need help."

She reportedly ran around in panic screaming: "I'm a murderer!"

When they got into the house, they found blood all over the walls and all throughout the house that led to the body of Monterio-Balla in the garage. Her body had multiple lacerations, and her eyes had been "removed from her head and placed on a nearby cardboard box."

They also found a series of notes with "religious-themed written messages related to clearing of the soul," the police report said. Balla was immediately arrested and she told officials that she smoked some weed before the attack, but she believed it to have been laced with Flakka or PCP.

Balla stood before a judge on Monday but was denied bail in the wake of the incident.

'My husband doesn’t pray' - woman seeking divorce tells court

Yahanasu Dahiru, a 23-year-old house wife has asked a Sharia Court II at Magajin Gari, Kaduna to dissolve her marriage to Nasiru Sani, for his waywardness.

The woman told the court that she has been married to Sani for five years and were blessed with a child, but has never seen him pray as every good Muslim does, nor cater for her needs.

“My husband doesn’t offer his prayers nor does he provide food for me or medication whenever I fall sick,” she said.  According to her, the defendant ignored her when she moved to her parents’ house for eight months over a misunderstanding they had.

She added that even though she fell sick and was hospitalised during the period, her husband did not bother to show up or settle the medical bills. Dahiru, therefore, urged the court to dissolve the marriage as she was no longer interested in the union.

The defendant, however, dismissed the wife’s claims as untrue. The judge, Malam Musa Sa’ad ordered the couple to present their guardians and witnesses to the court on March 27, when hearing in the case will continue.

The shots fired by Bill Gates at Aso Rock today were timely and well said - Ben Bruce

Reacting to a speech delivered by Bil Gates at Aso Rock today, Nigerian common sense senator, Ben Bruce describes it as 'timely and well said'.

Ben Bruce tweeted, 'the shots fired by Bill Gates at Aso Rock today were timely and well said. This government has spent three years blaming the previous administration and not enough time preparing its own economic plans and implementing them. It took a foreigner to say this truth to power. Kudos!'.

'We have been saying these same things for years. When we say them, we are called wailers. But @BillGates is not a politician. He is not a wailer. He is a friend of Nigeria who has spent $1.6 billion of his own money trying to help poor people in Africa and particularly in Nigeria'.

Bill Gates in his speech was quoted to have said, 'Nigeria is one of the most dangerous places in the world to give birth, with the fourth worst maternal rate in the world ahead of only Sierra Leone, Central African Republic and Chad. One in three Nigerian children is chronically malnouriahed. I believe the Nigerian primary health care system is not adequately funded. But it also doesn’t get the most out of its current funding'.

Police shot at a man 20 times in his own backyard thinking he had a gun but it was an iPhone

Stephen Clarke has died after being shot multiple times by police because they thought he was holding a gun, whereas it was his cellphone.

Clarke, 22, was in his grandmother's backyard in Sacramento on the night of Sunday, March 18, when he was killed. US police say they saw an object in Stephan Clark's hand before firing 20 bullets that killed him.

The two officers were responding to a 911 call about a man breaking vehicle windows. They encountered Clarke and believed he was the one breaking the windows. They also saw him with something in his hand and believed he was holding a gun so they each fired 10 rounds at Clark, striking him multiple times. The father-of-two, who is engaged to be married, didn't stand a chance.

"He was at the wrong place at the wrong time in his own backyard? C'mon now, they didn't have to do that," his grandmother, Sequita Thompson, told the Sacramento Bee.

"I told the officers, 'You guys are murderers. Murderers,' " Thompson cried out in a video. "You took him away from his kids."

He had two young sons, Cairo and Aiden, the family said, and a fiancee, Salena Manni, the Associated Press reported.

Both officers who shot Clarke were wearing body cams and the authorities are working to get the footage released. They are both on paid administrative leave.

Sacramento mayor Darrell Steinberg in a statement on Wednesday night offered his condolences to Clark's family and said he was "heartbroken" for the city.

Photos: Man confesses to killing a woman and stuffing her body into an ice cooler because of $2,000 gambling debt
